It's on the extra hot days in the middle of Summer in Australia that we wistfully watch the northern hemisphere get blanketed in snow. Being in Western Australia it can be an even rarer occurrence to get to see snow, let alone enough of it to build a snowman! And no, Bluff Knoll doesn't count! ;p
This spontaneous snowman had to make do with what was on hand but given we forgot to give him a mouth he's not likely to complain! ;p
Each time we visit the mountains in winter it is bitingly cold but too much fun to resist running around a bit outside before heading for a warming lunch. This year a hard lesson learnt when the forgotten sunglasses meant the first ever experience of snow blindness....ouch!
This coming February I suspect there might be a bit more snow than this so we'll be working on capturing images in such a difficult environment as well as finding that warm lunch place.
